The banking operations division is mainly responsible to manage the operations i.e. work processing functions in the bank. This division has a pivotal role, as it has to work in close coordination with almost all the other Divisions/Departments for a smooth functioning of the bank. The Banking Operations Division controls branch operations besides supervising international Banking Department. The role played by the branch operations department is important in the pretext that they implement operational policies, procedures and ensures strict compliance of the same through liaison with internal audit Division.
Banking Operations Division not only provides guidance to the branches enabling them to provide quick and error free customer service and maintains service standards, but also identifies training needs of their staff and suggests in-house training programs. Objective of this division is to maintain internal security, proper cash vaults, test keys, customer records and computer security features in the branches and also to allocate annual operational targets and monitor performance of staff against set objectives. This Division works like a bridge between state Bank of Pakistan and branches for implementation of its relevant rules and policies/procedures as circulated from time to time.
Keeping pace with the market trends and new era of Information & Technology, we have started online inter-branch transactions and ATM services. Moreover, we have recently introduced two new liability products with handsome rate of return to facilitate low-income groups. The schemes have been launched under the title “Regular Amdani Scheme” and “Zabardast Amdani Scheme”.
