Methods, Procedures and Policy Department (MPPD) has been established under the Risk Management Division of the Bank in order to review and develop Bank’s Policies in line with the latest tools available to mitigate key risk areas under the guidance of the State Bank of Pakistan and in line with the Basel-II implementation in the Bank.
Methods, Procedures and Policy Department undertakes to modify risk bearing processes, devise appropriate procedures (agree on Work Instructions), allocate responsibilities to processing units and tailor accountability of unit officers.
The Department has reviewed the Bank’s major policies and proposed revision to the Senior Management and the Board of Directors for ratification and approval and subsequent implementation across the Bank. The Department has commenced re-engineering and reviewing critical processes and strategic job responsibilities at a number of areas and has proposed drastic changes which have been approved at the appropriate level and implemented accordingly.
The Department undertakes to prepare and update Manuals and procedural guidelines for all processes in the computerized environment and suggest security and control measures requisite in the modern methods applied to complete banking transactions and ensure integrity and safety of record. |
