Branch Manager (Islamic)
Location: Peshawar
Chief Information Officer
Overall Responsibility: To develop and execute Bank's overall IT strategy in support of business objectives. Responsible for the Information Technology infrastructure of the bank which includes the development & maintenance of the banking software, continuous development of digital financial services and maintaining efficient communication links & information security. Identify, advise, execute and maintain IT solutions to help grow the business, reduce cost, enhance speed of delivery and improve customer experience.
Job Description:
  • Contributing towards improvement in the bank’s business / operating results
  • Develop bank's overall IT strategy by defining strategic direction with active involvement of the team and other concerned departments
  • Develop & provide direction & monitor bank's systems to improve workflows & operational efficiency across branches & business segments
  • Determine IT strategy which supports business objectives & develops/manages the annual consolidated budget for all IT activities
  • Identify avenues for new system development/implementation and existing system enhancements with feedback from the concerned departments and Executive Director and provide and review the strategy for the implementation of new and updation of existing systems.
  • Ensure automation of manual processes and replace antiquated, obsolete systems with advanced technologies
  • Establish and manage relationships with hardware and software vendors who may help the bank in development/enhancement of the systems.
  • Contribute towards business planning, budgeting, staffing exercises for the whole business
  • Ensure efficient communication links within & outside the bank
  • Perform business continuity & disaster management planning in order to estimate business requirements
  • Direct responsibility for overseeing system development, network administration and active involvement in the CBA and BPI PMO
  • Adapts & implements latest technology & practices to ensure that the bank leads the industry in implementing cutting edge operations
  • Serve line management with low-cost, high-quality information technology products, services and management information reports
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with management on project status, risks, and issues

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum education required is Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Sciences from an HEC recognized University or reputable foreign university. Preference will be given to candidates having Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 15 years Banking experience including 05 years experience at senior level in IT. Preference will be given to candidates having Temenos Core Banking implementation experience in a commercial Bank. Candidates who are currently heading the overall IT function in a Bank are exempted from the above mentioned experience criteria.
  • Should meet criteria as set out in “Fit and Proper Test” of State Bank of Pakistan.

Company Secretary
Overall Responsibility: Company secretary is responsible for ensuring that a company complies with standard financial and legal practices and maintains standards of corporate governance. Further act as a point of communication between the board of directors and company shareholders.
Job Description:
  • Review agendas and minutes of board meetings, annual general meeting (AGM) and any other meeting of members. Further maintain records and circulate minutes as required;
  • Contribute to meeting discussions as and when required, and advise members on the legal, governance, accounting and tax implications of the proposed policies;
  • Ensure that all the regulatory requirements relating to meetings are complied before and after the meeting;
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action;
  • Liaison with external regulators (SBP, KSE, SECP), advisers, lawyers and auditors;
  • Review maintenance of statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries;
  • Ensure decisions taken in board meetings and any other meetings are communicated to the relevant company stakeholders and appropriate and timely action is taken on those decisions;
  • Ensure compliance with listing requirements and all relevant statutory and regulatory matters of companies ordinance 1984, exchange regulations, SBP regulations and code of corporate governance;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements of the SBP, SECP, KSE and CDC in respect of maintenance, increase in paid up capital of the Bank along with Pre/ Post-IPO, bonus and right issues;
  • Ensure timely publication and circulation of Bank’s Annual report;
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date membership records are maintained in accordance with the Companies ordinance and other relevant laws;
  • Ensure that reporting is carried out for all other regulatory bodies as well;
  • Ensure that annual returns are made to regulatory bodies as appropriate and in the correct format;
  • Develop strategy and set direction for the secretarial department; and
  • Perform any other responsibility as assigned by the Managing Director and any other competent authority from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Should be a member of recognized body of professional accountants or a member of recognized body of corporate or chartered secretaries or holding a master degree in business administration or commerce or being a law graduate from a university recognized by the HEC of Pakistan or in case of foreign qualification in the above disciplines, holds an equivalence certificate from HEC of Pakistan.
  • Should be having at least 07 years of relevant experience in a Public/ Private sector company. Candidates who are currently heading the overall Company Secretariat function in a company are exempted from the above mentioned experience criteria.
  • Should meet criteria as set out in “Fit and Proper Test” of State Bank of Pakistan.
